5 Reasons Why I Love Living in Shinjuku

1. A place where languages and cultures naturally meet
In Shinjuku, especially around Higashi-Shinjuku and Shin-Okubo,

different languages echo in the streets.

The neighborhood is full of people from diverse backgrounds,

offering daily moments of connection

and cultural exchange.

2. Perfectly connected, highly efficient
Being at the heart of Tokyo means I can run classes, host meetings,

and welcome guests with ease.

With multiple train lines and quick access to other parts of the city,

I get to use my time meaningfully and efficiently — just how I like it.

3. A city that allows distance and focus
As an INTJ (MBTI), I value privacy and the ability to focus deeply.

Shinjuku lets me be immersed in the city while maintaining the quiet space I need for

thinking, creating, and building something of value — without unnecessary noise.

4. A great place to experiment with creative spaces

Shinjuku is open to ideas.

If there’s a place where a space like Lingua Cottage

— which brings all of this together — can truly exist, it’s here.

People are open-minded and welcoming toward new ideas.

5. A lifestyle that aligns with who I am
Here, I don’t have to compromise between being efficient, inspired, and independent.

Shinjuku gives me all three — and more. It’s a place where I can live, teach, learn,

and connect with others in a way that feels true to myself.
